The merging of yahoo and MSN is more inevitable that not but that will not beat the mighty Google. There is a lot these two web portals have to prove in order to beat the ever innovative Google or pose any serious challenge in the online ad market.

Its a better deal even though Yahoo on Monday rejected Microsoft’s MSFT $44.6 billion bid to acquire the company. But it left the door open for negotiations. Microsoft’s offer of 31 a share was a 62% premium above Yahoo’s share price on Feb. 1, when it announced the proposal.

The strength of Google lies in the fact that it has become a household name by providing quick and trusted answers to queries of online users. Or recent, the slogan is not “search on the internet” but “Google it up”
